After Calla’s father passed away, she and her family moved in with her stepmother, Lorraine, to help her adjust. In the end, Lorraine was forced to leave the house, and Calla found peace knowing that she had secured her father’s legacy. She transformed Lorraine’s old bedroom into a reading room and play area for her daughter, Emma. The robe, which Lorraine had abandoned in her haste, was donated to charity—Calla had no interest in keeping any reminder of Lorraine’s deceitful actions.
